weFamily Day 2025: A Celebration of Togetherness at weDevs

The sun was shining, the laughter was contagious, and the excitement was in the air. 🎊

8th February 2025 was not just another day at weDevs—it was weFamily Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the people who make our journey special. 👨‍👨‍👧‍👧

At weDevs, we don't just work together—we grow together. And our families are a huge part of that journey. That's why weFamily Day isn't just an event; it's a tradition. We celebrate this day to show gratitude to our families who support us every step of the way.

This year our tagline was: Together we shine, together we celebrate, together we grow. It perfectly captured the essence of the day.

Let's give you a quick tour of weFamily Day 2025 –

weFamily Day: A Tradition That Started with a Vision

At weDevs, we understand that our families are our greatest supporters. That's why we created weFamily Day.

weFamily Day is a full-day event where every weDevs team member brings their family along. The day is packed with fun activities for everyone, including games, entertainment, and great food.

This tradition began in 2017 with a simple yet heartfelt idea. We wanted our parents to witness the amazing work happening at weDevs and understand the effort behind our daily grind.

More than that, we believe that when families understand and support what we do, it creates a positive, connected, and harmonious work environment for everyone.

Since then, weFamily Day has become a yearly highlight. It's our way of bringing the extended weDevs family closer together and celebrating the blend of professional and personal connections that make us who we are.

Unfortunately, we had to skip the event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but after that weDevs have been arranging this event regularly.

This year, we were excited to celebrate weFamily Day again. It was even more special because two of our founders came from Turkey to join us. The day was full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The Day Begins

The day was segmented into various events and activities. We started by gathering inside the weDevs headquarters with our families. It was amazing to see so many happy faces on our office premises.

We spend so much time with our colleagues every day, and this was a rare chance to meet their families. We chatted, greeted one another, and set the tone for a beautiful day filled with amazing memories.

At weDevs, we believe in sharing love, and this event was yet another proof of that. Many elderly family members joined us despite health concerns, showing their enthusiasm and support.

Heading Towards Our Destination

This year, 186 people joined us for weFamily Day. To ensure a smooth journey, weDevs arranged four AC buses to take everyone to the venue.

We started our journey at 8:00 AM, enjoying light snacks, chitchat, and laughter along the way. Finally, at 10:00 AM, we arrived at our breathtaking destination—Aronnobash.

The venue was stunning. Lush greenery, brick-laid architecture, and a peaceful ambiance made it a perfect escape. There was even a big playground, and our little champs wasted no time in running off to play.

We took a quick tour of the resort before heading for breakfast. The food was delicious and energizing, getting us ready for the day ahead.

Introductory Session & Declaration of weFamily Day

Soon, a familiar voice echoed from the stage—it was Raad Sheraz, our lively host. He instructed everyone to gather in front of the stage. After a short welcoming speech, he invited our founders, Tareq Hasan and Nizam Uddin, to the stage.

Nizam Uddin officially inaugurated the event and warmly welcomed everyone. With a big smile, he looked around and said:

Together, we're stronger. Family isn’t just about who you go home to. It’s about the people who help you grow

He also encouraged good intentions, adding, “When we bring the right intentions to everything we do, we can shape an incredible future together.”

After his warm and welcoming speech, our CTO Tareq Hasan also greeted everyone and invited them to enjoy an eventful day.

Then, one by one, team leads took the stage to introduce themselves, giving a short demonstration of their work before inviting their team members to do the same. This session helped our family members understand what we do at weDevs and how we contribute.

Every event at weDevs is carefully planned, and for this weFamily Day, Rajuan Islam, our Head of HR, was the designated “Amir” to coordinate all activities. He took the stage and announced the full schedule for the day.

Collecting Goodies & Raffle Draw Tickets

After the introduction session, team members received custom t-shirts from the front desk. Each participant also got raffle draw tickets for themselves and their family members, adding an extra dose of excitement to the day.

Team Photo Session & Prayer Break

To capture the love and joy, we took a team photo. Shortly after, we had a break for Zuhr prayer.

To ensure comfort, weDevs had booked rooms for guests who wanted to freshen up or relax. Some of our female guests also enjoyed a dip in the swimming pool during this break.

At 2 PM, we were called for lunch. It was a delightful meal, shared with laughter and heartfelt conversations.

Fun Activities with Family Members

After lunch, it was time for games and activities!

• Mothers played a game of “Throwing Ball into the Basket”, competing fiercely to win prizes.
• Wives of our male team members also took part in “Throwing Ball into the Basket”, an exciting contest that had everyone cheering.
• Fathers participated in a traditional game called “Hari Vanga”, where they were blindfolded and had to break a clay pot with a stick.
• Throw the Ring and Get the Gift was open to everyone, and each participant walked away with a prize.

Our weDevs team members worked hard to organize these games and tried to ensure that our guests had the best experience possible.

Once the family games were over, team members also got their turn to participate in “Throw the Ring” and “Stamp Knockdown”. The excitement and joy in the air were truly unforgettable.

Prize Giving Ceremony & Raffle Draw

As the evening approached, we gathered again for the prize-giving ceremony. Once again, Raad Sheraz took the microphone, keeping the energy high. First, the winners of the games were announced, and our founders personally handed out the prizes.

But the excitement wasn't over yet! Every guest received a special token of appreciation from weDevs.

Then, after a short Maghrib prayer break, it was time for the highly anticipated raffle draw!

Two adorable kids were invited to the stage to pick 20 lucky winners. As each name was called, the crowd erupted with cheers. The lucky winners received exciting prizes. It added the perfect ending to a fantastic day.

weFamily Day 2025 – An Unforgettable Experience

As we wrapped up the day, emotions ran high. Many of our guests expressed their joy and shared heartfelt words of appreciation. One employee's parent shared:

I always heard from my son that weDevs is like a big family. Today, I saw the proof with my own eyes. This was a day full of love, and I enjoyed every moment.

weFamily Day 2025 was a celebration of love, gratitude, and togetherness. We laughed, we bonded, and we made memories that will last a lifetime.
