Avatar Questions 6981 | |
cphine | Ok, user switching plugin does work, but it’s weird that as the admin I can’t edit the avatar but I can change everything else about them…name, password, bio, etc. I thought that was the point of being the Admin! Using other avatar programs, I could edit as admin. Perhaps something to consider. Thanks for the description of the $curauth code. I think I understand. Got it to work, that’s what I’m concerned about! |

Display name publicly as 6980
cphine | Thanks. That sort of half worked. Seems like a lot of code. The Theme My Login registration page had this functionality without adding anything to my functions.php. Of course, can’t do avatars with the theme my login page, so I guess I’m stuck. What this doesn’t allow, however, is the selection of the display name during registration. The field is blank. Users must come back after registration to select this. Any way around that? |

WPUFpro and Theme My Login Error ? 6956
cphine | I just came to post the same question. On the log in screen using Theme My Login, there are two links below the username and password entry fields: “Register” and “Lost Password”. When “Registration link override” is NOT checked in wpufpro settings, the “register” links to the Theme My Login registration (not desired because I have a custom form created with wpufpro) and the “lost password” link correctly directs to the /lostpassword page. However, When “Registration link override” IS checked, the “register” link now correctly links to the wpufpro registration form, but the “lost password” link directs back to the /login page. Either way “registration link override” is checked, one of the links in user log in does not work and there is no setting in theme my login to customize these links. Thoughts? |

Help with Post Edit Page 6565
cphine | I see that in the FAQ, but with lots of existing authors with dozens or hundreds of posts, could I be so bold as to recommend a bulk importer of sorts? I only need this plugin for the one post form and the one profile form. It will either take me hours (days?) to update all of our pre-existing posts….or I’ll just have to explain to folks that they can’t edit previous posts any longer. |
