Tareq Hasan | Hi Tareq and Crew, I just rebuilt my local webserver's plugin repository and when I tried to activate WPUFE I received the following message: "WP User Frontend Error: Pleae activate your copy" I tried disabling my firewall and that didn't seem to help. Any idea how I might clear this issue up? Thanks, Ansel Taft |

Mahi | Hello Ansel, Thats weird. You do have unlimited license, so please try again with same license key. |

Ansel | No luck. WPUFE saves the email address and license, but the error at the top will not go away. |

Mahi | Another reason could be – your isp/computer it self blocking our ip. As long as it works on live sites dont worry about this. It will not prevent you from any plugin feature. It requires only to Upgrade plugin. |

Ansel | I’m not sure that makes sense. Every other premium plugin I activated tonight (about 25) did so without issue, hitting the server they needed to, to check in. I also disabled my firewall and it didn’t seem to make a difference. Any other ideas? |

Mahi | then it could be from our side. Whats your ip? can be found here – http://www.whatismyip.com/ reply as private if you want. |

Ansel | I just tried it at work (different IP) and there’s no change, it wouldn’t let me complete the activation. Should we try a different activation code? Please note that I’ve tried deactivating, then reactivating the plugin, as well as removing the folder after deactivating, then copying the original plugin folder back in… none of it has helped. This is odd, right? |

Ansel | Please note that my local web server used to be Easy PHP, but I uninstalled that last night and installed Desktop Server instead. I also saw a pop-up at one point stating that jQuery is outdated. Which is odd since I’m running WordPress 3.6. The problem is that error could have come from any of the plugins I activated last night. |

Ansel | Are there any known premium plugin conflicts that might be at play here? Perhaps I should deactivate the plugin, remove the folder and clear some database entries? If so, what would I clear? |

Mahi | So far, no one report anything like this. You can try with a fresh WordPress installation on local server. |

Ansel | It didn’t work. Perhaps I need to open up a port in my firewall, if it’s trying to register through something non-standard? |

Tareq Hasan | Hi Ansel, sorry for replying late. Can you delete the the option |

Ansel | I found and removed wpuf_license, but wpuf_license_status is nowhere to be found. Perhaps that’s the problem? Should I add it? |

Tareq Hasan | That means the license is saving in the database, but the license checking request is not being completed. As we are seeing it, the request is not reaching out to our server, as a result you see the error. I use MAMP Pro as my development environment and the activation works perfectly. Can you try a live server and test if that works? |
