rocketseven Hello anda thanks in advanced for your help. I´ve crete some posts (post type "ait-dir-item" Directory wordpress theme) with your plugin (pro vs) and selected the option on post status to be "pending" for approval by an admin. the "user" creates the post and the post shows "pending" with the author "user" - everything works fine. The problem is when the admin aproves the "users" post, the post immediately and automatically changes its author's to "admin" and became impossible for the "user" to edit because the user is no longer his author. I really don´t know what´s causing this and i think that it can be a issue or a compatibility with your plugin. Can you please explain me what does the field "Default Post Owner" on general options and especially what means and what does the "If guest post is enabled and user details are OFF, the posts are assigned to this user"? What is "user details are OFF"? Because i choose that the default post owner is the admin in this option, i think that this could be one of the reasons why i´m getting this error. And even if i try to change the author by other ways (on posts page within authors), the only authors that i can choose are admins and none of the other roles show up on the list. Can you please help me on this and explain better what are those options? Thank you very much for your help Best regards RS

Just tested as you described. Created a post as contributor, post saved as pending, logged in as admin, approved the post. The post author is still the contributor, it didn’t changed to admin.

When a guest submits a post, the posts needs to be mapped to a user, there comes the “Default Post Owner”. If the name and email isn’t required, the post is assigned to the default post owner user. If the name and email is required, a new user is created using that email address and the post is assigned to that user. If an user is already exists with the same email address, the post is assigned to that existing user.

Hi

thank you very much for your help. I managed to solve the problem after some testings.
I think it is a theme problem and has nothing to do with your plugin (that is great by the way).

For other user and is this problem happens, try switching the “pending” to “approval” by editing the item and not by quick editing way. That solved my problem.

Thank you so much.

Great Support!
