Nayem | You've likely already heard this but -- please fix. The shipping tab is absent from the parent product when the product becomes variable. What that means is the seller must either create the parent product, select shipping, then do variable (to inherit parent product shipping) or the seller must manually input shipping using the dashboard on each variable product. Or, make the trick of re-making the product "simple" just so he can go in and do the shipping at parent product level. Sort of flaky and hard to describe to the sellers how to do this. Please keep the parent product shipping tab available for use. Thank you, |

Nayem | Hello Brenda, When the product type is variable then you will get the shipping option in your variation. The default shipping rate will be set for the variable product. This variable product will get the parent shipping cost. If you want then you can also set your own shipping class there. But the feature is when a product is variable then the shipping tab will not appear in the product edit page. |

Brenda | This is a VERY inefficient situation for the seller. If the seller has multiple variations, it takes the seller too long to go through and set the shipping on each variation when he needs to change only one thing. He should have the ability to change it at the parent product level. The “work around” is to make the product “simple” and then (without doing a “save” as simple) the shipping tab pops back for the seller’s use, he makes the change needed quickly and changes back to variable product — his variations have been saved for him. This work around is not elegant but it is needed because the design of dropping shipping down into the variable tab is really a bad idea. |

Nayem | Hello Brenda, Thank you for your suggestion. But in our feature you do not need to change the variation shipping one by one it will automatically get the parent shipping cost. In the variation you can not override the default shipping cost. Your all variation product will calculate the parent shipping cost of Dokan. But i will notify to our team about your query. Thanks. |

Brenda | I just realized that the seller doesn’t even have the ability to CHANGE shipping once his product becomes variable unless he goes back and makes it a SIMPLE product (my workaround above). That’s just wrong, guys. The seller may not have entered any shipping when he originally entered his products — he needs to be able to change it at will. The shipping is the most likely thing that he will change with some frequency. Please fix this. |

Nayem | Hello Brenda, In the variation tab there is no option to override the default shipping rate of the store. But i will discuss with our developer team about the overriding option in the variable product. Please allow me some time. Thanks. |
