Rename uplaod files

Mahi | Hello, how and where can I rename the uploaded images? Sometimes one image is used 2 two times even if an other image was uploaded. cause of the name I think. Hey-koelle.de the first post got an diffrent image! its not attached in the post if you check the post. I think this is because the same upload name. cheers, Denis |

Tareq Hasan | WordPress native functions handles the file/picture upload and there is no way of having the same file name after uploaded, they are automatically renamed. And also, WPUF doesn’t store file names, it stores the attachment ID to reference the correct image. So I will suggest to recheck about the problem. |

Denis | I was looking for a way to rename the uploaded filenames. “öäü pl?§ name.jpg” This is what I wanted to change. With that plugin “File Renaming on upload”. “myDomainname_dateTime.jpg” Thats it. Cheers, ps you can close this threat if you want. |
