Nayem Hello, I was just wondering if it is possible to make the seller of a product the primary receiver in a chained payment system? I understand this is recommended as they will be responsible for resolving disputes and it will be possible for me to set that the primary receiver pays all fees. Will I have to set this all up through paypal or is it possible through the plug in?

Also, in the situation of a chain payment system, does paypal charge 2 sets of fees? One to the primary receiver and one to the secondary? Or is it just one initial fee?

Hello Richard,

I will suggest you to use parallel payment system. Because this makes everyone as a primary receiver and the dispute/refund process works fine with it. And most importantly the customer can buy from as many seller as he wants.

But as in case of chained payment only one user can be primary receiver, so the dispute/refund process will be complicated. That is why we have included a feature in our last update to bind the customer to one seller. That seller will be the primary receiver and admin will not be liable for refunds.
So the decision is yours, how would you like to run your payment system.

And i am not sure about the fees and charges from pay pal. Please determine what system you would like to use and then contact pay pal support and describe your idea to them and they will provide you clear concept about the charges and fees.

Thank you 🙂
