Nayem | I have a big problem, which I've just noticed. If Seller A uploads a file to sell in their shop as a downloadable product, Seller B can log in and simply use this file by clicking on the tab "Media Library" and setting the price to zero. Is there a way to ensure that users cannot have access to other users' files? A suggestion would be to not give access to the tab "Media Library" but this has limited benefits. It would be much better if all users had their own uploads directory that other users (except the admin) can access. |

Jos | I’m just installing Dokan. Does this also mean they have access to each others images? |

Simon | It certainly looks that way right now |

Jos | This seems like a serious issue as you do not want a s shared media library between different Vendors. |

Tor B | If I don’t check “Disable sellers and customers from accessing wp-admin area”, my sellers can see: All my posts The only thing I can see is restricted to the sellers own uploaded elements, is the media gallery. Sellers have full access to everything in the backend, can make new posts, new elements in slideshows, add team members to my company… etc. |

Simon | Perhaps it is just for Shop Manager roles as normal sellers don’t seem to have the same issue. However, it is equally important for Shop Managers to not see other users’ media and files. |

Tor B | I am talking about the “seller” role. |

Simon | Sorry, Tor B, I think we replied at the same time so didn’t see your post. Sorry for any confusion. Yes, I have that option ticked. The problem is when you add a file (for a downloadable product) you can see all other uploads from all other users. |

Simon | Any ideas on this? I’d really like to be able to have Shop Managers. |

Sekander Badsha | Hello Simon, We have tested the media library several times with the seller role. Please be double sure that you have logged in with a user that is “seller” not admin. Only admin can see all the uploaded images. |

Simon | Thank you for the reply. We figured out the seller problem. It’s the Shop Manager that can see all uploads. |

Tor B | As stated above, all my sellers can see and do “everything” in the backend. Do you have any overview of which capabilities the “seller” role should have? In some way or another, my sellers have to much capabilities. |

Nayem | Hello Tor B, Please make sure that you have marked the seller role as seller. If you not, then please navigate to User->Edit->User Role and select as seller. Kindly check this out and let me know. Thank you 🙂 |
