Nayem | Hi, I am trying to figure out how the per product shipping works and whether I am missing some setting. Say I am shipping a large product from the UK to either the UK or the US. I can set the default shipping price, the per quantity additional and the per product additional. These however apply to all countries right? This is a problem as someone ordering a second item from the UK would pay the same as someone ordering the second item from the US even though it is a lot more expensive to ship 2 large items to the US. I know you can set the "ship to" cost but that only applies to the first item. Is there a way of setting a "per quantity additional" and "per product additional" for each country that you ship to? Thanks |

Nayem | Hello Ferag, Thank you for your good question. But i think you have missed something. I know you have to set the shipping rate globally which will work for entire country or state. For a t-shirt that will be the cost and for a car the cost of shipping will be same ( as your example ). But we have an option to change the shipping rate for the car. If you want to change shipping rate for specific product then you can change it. In the product edit page you will get a shipping tab. From there you can override the default shipping cost for the product. Thanks. |

Fearg | Thanks for the quick reply Nayem, Using your car example, say it costs $500 to deliver one car to the UK and $2,000 to deliver one car to the US. Also say to deliver 2 it costs double (i.e no economies of scale) If the per additional quantity is set to $500 in my shop settings (or in my product settings) then the person is the US gets his second car shipped to the US for $500, the same price as the person in the UK. On the product page, i can only see one ‘additional cost’ and one ‘per quantity cost’ field. i.e. it has to be the same cost regardless of the country you are shipping to. I would have expected to see this option “per country” where in the scenario above I would set per additional cost for UK to $500 and per additional cost for US to $2,000. Is this not possible? Again, apologies if I am missing something obvious here. |
