towhid Hi I am trying to set clients up to view assigned project in front end. Firstly do I need to create each co-worker, client etc up as a user in the wordpress menu? and if so how do the permissions here (subscriber/Contributor etc) correlate with the project manager permissions? I read in documentation that you can set up in the User Frontend menu, but where do I find it? Its not in my dashboard even though plugin is installed and activated. I have created a wp user called client to test, have assigned them to a project and put shortcode on a client page, when i log in as that client is says access denied. Where am I going wrong? Thanks

Hello Meemu,

You can create any project and assign to Project Manager, Co-worker, Client without any user role. User role is not mandatory here.

You will not get the Frontend option without the Project Manager Frontend addons. Please open this link to know about Project Manager Frontendhttp://wedevs.com/plugin/wp-project-manager/wp-project-manager-frontend/

Please let me know if have any complexity.

Thank You. 🙂

Hi thanks for your response.

I do have the front end plugin and it is installed and activated, I have now got it working. The problem is that when I assign a user as a Client they can still see everything, activity, to do lists etc – is that correct?

Also when I log out and click on a link to the front end page (mysite.com/client-project-page) I was expecting a login page to appear, instead it just shows homepage. I don’t want to supply my clients with mysite.com/wp-admin URL as they would have to click from the dashboard, what am I doing wrong?

Thank you

Could I just add that there doesn’t seem to be any settings option for the Project Manager Frontend plugin or documentation, where will I find?

Thanks

Hello Meemu,

Yes that is correct and usual. Client, Co-worker all can see activity but can not see other options like: to-do list, task, message etc. Please check WP Project Manger Documentation.

For Redirect users to different locations after logging in and logging out you can use this plugin – https://wphive.com/plugins/peters-login-redirect/

Thank You. 🙂
