Mahi I am interested in the Buddypress Profile Integration Add On. I have a BP site with a profile with 7-10 extended profile fields in the Base profile and another 12-15 extended fields in 4 additional profile folders. I am using the age range search as well as a dating matching search. Will this Add On allow me to construct a registration page with extended profile fields from both the base profile and additional profile folders or does it only allow you to include base profile fields on the registration page? Does this Add On work with extended profile fields? And finally does it allow for a date range search and matching search to function on my site? Any chance of seeing a demo and any coupon codes out there for early adopters :) Thanks Hugh

Hello Hugh,

All these should be possible. But, does your theme has search functionality?

You can send a request here for a demo environment.

Thanks.

My theme is SweetDate and yes it has search functionality for City, State, and Age Range.
I am concerned that the Buddypress Profile Integration page says that the birthdate has to be in a specific format yy-mm-dd. Does this mean that the existing format in Buddypress which is dd-month-yyyy will not work? Are there examples of users getting the age range search to work using the Buddypress Profile Integration add on?
I requested a demo so hopefully I will be able to test it soon.
Thanks a lot!
Hugh

I am testing the Buddypress Profile Integration Add-On and have a few questions:
1. In the demo I don’t have admin rights to put the registration form short code into the Registration page to test it. Can you either give me admin rights or put the short code there for me so I can test registration.
2.There is supposed to be a date picker for the Date of Birth field but in the preview all I see is a text field for the date of birth. Is there a date picker or do users have to enter date in a certain format?
3. The email field appears in the list of choices in the Buddypress tab of the Add-on but it cannot be associated with the field in the Form Editor tab. Again, if I could test this in registration it would be good.

I was able to see the date picker. Is it possible to add a year button to the top of the date picker. The calendar starts in 2013 and you can only go back by month. It should start in the 90s somewhere and have a way to go back by year.

Also, how do you get the registration shortcode to work. I tried dropping it into my Register page but it doesn’t show up. The default registration overrides the page.

Thanks!

It uses default WordPress date function. So, yearly pickup not possible. User have to put year manually.

BuddyPress has own register system. DONOT select same register page (where you insert short-code) from BuddyPress settings pages.
You have to select different page or use short-code on different page.
