Yes, if admin will create attributes from backend every seller will get that but seller can also create custom attributes. If you do not want seller to create custom attributes then you have to customize the plugin code to get that feature.

Hi nayem, where do I customise? Is there a guide. I think to have the option prevent sellers from adding their own attributes would be ideal to as a standard feature.

Right now we do not have developer documentation. It will not be a feature because of we did not get any request like this.

I was also thinking the same as giving sellers this control will create endless variations which are not approved by site admin. I think easier way will be to hide that option.!

I also want this feature to be optional in the site admin to either activate/ deactivate this feature.

i am sure if you asked your customers and users and did some basic market research on this issue you will find that this is would a desired feature because it makes sense to restrict unlimited number of attributes being created. Please could you refer to your development team. If you see all the major marketplaces out there, they do not allow their marketplaces to be populated with inconsistent and unlimited number of attributes.

That was not a bug. You have requested for a feature. We did not get that request from others user. In my previous reply I have told that I will keep this idea in my log. If we get more request like this then we will think about it to implement.

If you are in hurry to get this feature thn you may require cusomization for that.

I think this could be a bug because if something created by one seller is made available to every other seller.

I mean Dokan does not let seller to upload an image and make it available to everyone, why is it any different with attributes. This is clearly not an issue just for me but for other sellers as well, it may be that they have not noticed it yet.

Was this was done deliberately?

Your last post is not clear to me. The topic was started to set a limitation for adding attributes in seller area. Please let me know I am in the correct way or not.

Right now seller can add unlimited attributes. So, If we get more request to set limitation in this option then we will think about it to implement.

i think my initial post was a little bit of a waffle.

Its not just setting limitation, that was just a suggestions. the problem sellers can add storewide attributes. What seller A adds should not be accessible to seller B. This is the main issue.

I hope this makes sense and could be looked into. This is a potential security issue as well because if a malicious seller wanted to adversely affect a site, he/she could add thousands of attributes, causing problems for the site as well

When seller will create attributes manually from their product edit page, others seller will not be able to add that same attributes. Seller A will not be able to choose Seller B attributes. So, I think there is no issue like this.
